Biography

The Full Story

Born in 1976 in Kampala, Uganda, Samuel Kitone grew up in a close-knit family that valued hard work, education, and community service. From an early age, he displayed an entrepreneurial spirit, helping in his family's small business while excelling academically.

In 1998, Samuel made the life-changing decision to move to the United Kingdom in pursuit of higher education and greater opportunities. Settling in London, he quickly immersed himself in the vibrant Ugandan and broader African diaspora community, forging connections that would shape his future career.

After gaining experience in the security industry, Samuel identified a gap in the market for reliable, professional security services. In 2001, he founded 24/7 Security Group with just a handful of employees. Through relentless dedication to quality and client satisfaction, the company grew steadily, earning a reputation for excellence in the UK security sector.

Driven by a desire to give back to his homeland, Samuel expanded 24/7 Security Group to Uganda in 2008, followed by Rwanda in 2018. Today, the company employs over 2,500 people across three countries, providing comprehensive security solutions to corporate clients, government institutions, and residential communities.

Beyond security, Samuel has established himself as an influential angel investor, backing promising startups across Africa in fintech, proptech, healthtech, and agritech. His investment philosophy centres on supporting founders who are solving real problems for real people across the continent.
